Why We Exist
Many believers know Jesus but have never been personally discipled. They attend church, love God, and want to grow, but still feel alone, disconnected, or unsure how to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Shine Light Ministries was created to help fill that gap.
Our heart is to create spaces where believers can be known, ask honest questions, share struggles, grow through Scripture, and learn to walk with Jesus in real life.
Our Community
Shine Light Ministries is a spiritual family made up of people in different places and seasons of life. Some connect online, some gather in person in Houston, but all are learning to follow Jesus together in everyday life.
We value honest conversation, shared life, and walking with one another as we grow as disciples of Jesus.

We live in a time where many people are more connected online but more alone than ever.
Shine Light Ministries exists to offer a biblical response to that loneliness by helping believers experience authentic spiritual family, real discipleship, and meaningful connection in Christ.

Why
Because I knew Jesus but didn’t know how to walk with Him, I know how easy it is to live without personal discipleship and spiritual family. After Jesus transformed my life and someone personally discipled me, I became burdened to help others truly follow Jesus and experience the life He gives.

We believe people grow through biblical truth, honest dialogue, shared experiences, teachable moments, prayer, obedience, and authentic community.
From Just Believing to Truly Following
I became a believer at twelve years old, but I was never discipled to be a follower. I learned the ways of the world and fell into deep bondage. When I finally surrendered everything to Jesus, He delivered me, and I realized He saved me for an abundant life today.
My real growth happened when I reached out to a mentor named Ed. For years, he met with me weekly online. He didn't just lecture; he listened, asked questions, and helped me think biblically. That online discipleship changed my life, and Shine Light Ministries exists to be that safe space for you.
